Final Project: Who do you think I am 12/16/2014

I learned so much doing this final project. When doing this I showed my mom the interview questions but she told me to remove some because they were about sensetive subjects so I could not get all the information I wanted but what I got is just fine. I learned about family members I did not even know about, I got to know my grandparents more than I already did. My grandma really liked this because I went over to her house just to do it and she liked remenicing about when she was a child. My grandpa said he liked the interview but he gave blunt answers and did not really elaborate on what I wanted to hear but I got enough to do the project while learning new things at the same time. Overall I did not have an complications, I had a great time doing this.

Below is my prezi. I went around to each family member and had them give me random facts about themselves and took their picture. The younger ones messed around a lot so it was hard to make them be serious but I got them to be. The adults really liked it and I liked learning more about them.

Below is my infographic and I took random facts, genetics, traditions, and stories and put them on. This was probably my favorite thing to learn about and do.

Below is my family echo and it is my dad's side and some of my mom's side. This was probably the easiest thing to do because I knew where everyone went and I did not need to ask anyone.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

On Thanksgiving I am going to my aunts for dinner and hanging out with all of my cousins. While we are at my aunts we usually watch Christmas movies, eat, play games, and catch up. There is always that awkward thing where you haven't seen a family member in years and they talk about how little you were and you don't even remember their name. I am also going black Friday shopping with my mom, dad, and brother. Throughout the five day weekend will hangout with my friends maybe go shopping or go see a movie. I think it would be nice to go see the lights at plaza so maybe I will go do that.

Reflecting on the comments and grade of your stop-motion animation... what you would do differently if you had to do it all over again? Would you manage your time better? Find better lighting for your photos? Come up with a better idea? Explain what you would change about your video.

If I had to do this over again I would use a camera stand so my pictures would not be as shaky, I would use a cleaner background, and I would not have any hands in the shot. Some of my pictures were a little blurry because I did not have a stand and because I was taking them so fast. If I did this another time I would do it on a black or white background so the colors pop, the background I used was dirty so I wish I could go back and fix it. Another thing is the hands the video is supposed to look like no one is putting the skittles down so having the hands in it defeat the purpose.

Tell me about your weekend.

On Friday I didn't work so I went out with my friends earlier than normal and we just went and got food and hungout. On Saturday I worked from 9am-1:30 so it wasn't bad at all, after work I went shopping with my mom and brother then later that night my entire family went out to dinner. On Sunday I got up early and went to the gym with my mom later that day we went to my grandmas house for dinner. Later that night I finished up some homework. It was a pretty chill but successful weekend.

Tell me about your experience with taking your stop-motion photos. What problems did you run in to? What did you find difficult about the process? What would you go back and change about HOW you took the photos? Explain yourself.

I didn't run into any problems everything seemed to move smoothly, I had two people help me which is why it went well. If I could go back I could change what was around my photos because I now have to go back and crop things out.

My idea for my five frame storyboard is how to post a picture on instagram. I'm the main character,m and I plan on screen shotting the pictures so someone could get a closer look on how it is done

Yesterday you edited and uploaded photos to your blog. Tell me more about your photos. HOW did you edit them? Why did you choose the photos that you did? Explain your assignment.

I edited them by making some black and white, lighter, darker, or added colors like blue and red. I flipped some pictures around. I chose these photos at random I wanted to take pictures that were not interesting but make them cool by added effects. Our assignment was to edit pictures that we took with our phones and Photoshop them we got to take the pictures but we had to get certain ones like a close-up of an eye, we got to add our own twist to it with photoshop.

Tell me about your weekend - details please!

On Friday I worked until 8:30 and went to iHop at around 9 with some friends after that we went to Sonic and got slushes after that we went to Walmart for no reason after that we went to my friends house and hungout then I went home. On Saturday I worked from 10:30-6:00 after that I went to the mall with the same friends and shopped, then we got drinks at quick trip, sat at Taco Bell for an hour, and then went to my friend's house and watched YouTube videos.

I took photography last year so I know the basic I don't know much about editing. Yes I take photos. I take them with my phone or my camera. I don't really post pictures on social media I mostly just posts reaction pictures on twitter. I have a lot of interest in photography I think it's fun and beautiful.

Tell me about your weekend. Share pics!

This Saturday I only worked until 4:30 then I went out to eat with my family later that night and we also went to town center and got ice cream. On Sunday I was supposed to have my birthday party with my cousins but my great grandma is dying so we had to cancel (this took a turn) but ya nothing exciting this weekend.

After reading this I can where the teachers are coming from. I have never really worn anything that has gotten me "dress coded" because my parents wouldn't let me leave the house. I did get dress coded freshman year though when I wore a floral flowy type shirt because it was spaghetti strapped even though it was high cut, you couldn't see through it, and you couldn't even see my bra straps and not to mention the girl behind me had on short shorts and was not told to do something about it. I can understand the short shorts rule 100% because no one wants to see random kids butts walking down the hallway, and like you send in the letter it is not professional. My only problem with the dress code is that we can show shoulders which to me if weird because they are just shoulders. Another thing I hate about the dress code is that it only targets girls. Girls are told to put on a jacket when they where spaghetti straps but boys that don't even have muscles can wear muscle tees and when boys wear those shirts you can see inside of it from the side its really not hard to miss. I just think it would be more fair if boys were told to put on a jacket when they need too.

Classes that teach you how to pay bills, buy a house, things that we will actually need in life. The classes would be different from the ones we have now in that we actually learn things we will need in the future.

This weekend I went shopping. I shopped at town center with my friend, I like town center a lot more than the mall because you can go outside instead of being stuck inside but I will admit the mall has better stores, I only go there with my mom because she will buy some of my stuff ;)

I agree with this. The only reason girls are forced to dress a certain way is because boys over sexualize normal female body parts, if you're a boy and you get distracted by a girl's shoulder than you are a danger to society to be honest.Yes I agree a girls butt shouldn't be hanging out of her shorts but the finger rule is a bit ridiculous and the only place you can get shorts to fit the dress code is Aeropostale and there is no way I am shopping there. Also the no showing your shoulder rule is absolutely ridiculous if boys can wear bro tanks that show their nipples when you walk pass them from the side I think its okay for me to wear a flattering tank top that only shows my shoulders. I can go on about this all day but I will just leave it at this.

This weekend I worked until 6 on Saturday but after work I went out with two friends and we just went to some stores and then just ended up sitting in the car and laughing talking. We first went to Walmart, then target, then sonic, taco bell (to bother our coworkers), then McDonalds for for fries, then dairy queen, and then lastly price chopper after that we sat in the parking lot in my car and talked. We then went to go drop off my friend and I ended up hanging out in my other friends garage with her and we watched youtube videos and cried over boy bands.

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend! If you didn't participate in the Homecoming festivities, what did you do? Share pics!

I did not go to homecoming but I went shopping with my friends instead. We went to towncenter and I bought a ton of new clothes. We had dinner at panera and got starbucks early that day. After towncenter we just hungout outside and walked around until late that night, it was much more fun than homecoming.

Imagine Mr. Bacon has asked you to suggest one way of improving Blue Valley High School to make it a better place for students. Think about the changes that are needed at your school. Pick one change you feel would really make a difference and explain what it is and why you'd make the change.

If everyone had a study hall I think it would make school and life a whole lot easier. I have never had a study hall until this year and I have found it so helpful. I took it because I started working this year and wouldn't be home as much to do homework or projects. My grades have even improved and I can get help on whatever I need help with, giving me a better understanding on what we are learning. I have also felt less stressed out about homework because it literally used to take me three hours and after being at school for seven hours the last thing I want to do when I get home is do three hours worth of homework.

What are your favorite apps on your phone or tablet? Why?

My favorite apps are Spotify because I love music, Twitter because it updates me on things that is going on, Vine because it's funny and makes me laugh, and Tumblr because everything is so funny on there and I just sit laugh about stuff I see on it.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"?

Email is something you use rather than actual mail because it is way faster. I use email in my personal life when I make social media accounts or when I am at a store and they ask for my email and then they send me coupons. Email etiquette is using proper grammar and not text talk.
