Read this small newspaper clipping and then write a blog post about it. What are your thoughts? How does it make you feel? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

I think it means that instead of someone giving you something to do, go do something useful. Something that will help you now and for your future. It makes me feel that I should be doing some of the examples he had said. I agree with this because kids now are always looking for something to do but they want someone to give it to them.

What is a Public Service Announcement? If you don't know what it is, Google it. In your own words, now tell me what it is? What are they used for? Can you recall an example of a PSA you've seen before?

A public service announcement is something used in the media to raise awareness for something. Public service announcements also have an objective of changing public attitudes towards something and behavior towards a social issue. I have probably seen a public service announcement I just probably wasn't paying close enough attention to realize it was one.

After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you -"Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."

After watching Ashton's acceptance speech I took away that, hard work is the only thing that will make you successful in anything you do. Whether it's in school, work, or home hard work is what is going to get you places, not just waiting for it to happen because life doesn't work that way. His quote about life being made up by people no smarter than us to me means that life and things we know were made by people just like us. Since the things around us we call life were made up by people no smarter than us then we can easily change it. We can get rid of the things we don't like and replace them with things we do like, because the people that made it are no different than us.
